Ingredients
1. Chopped carrots 1 cup
2. Onions, sliced 1/4 cup
3. Garlic, chopped 1 Tsp
4. Chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup
5. Low-fat milk 1/2 cup
6. ½ tsp Ghee, rock salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste.
7. Moong dal (split green gram) 1/2 cup – Soaked for 4-8 hours.
Directions
1. Heat the ghee in a non-stick pan, onions, and garlic and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
2. Add the carrots and tomatoes and sauté for 4 minutes. Add green moong dal and 1 cup of water and cook till the carrots are tender.
3. Cool the carrot mixture and puree to a smooth paste.
4. Transfer the pureed soup to a pan, add milk, 1 cup of water, salt, and pepper and allow it to come to a boil. Serve hot.
