Poha with Vegetable - Beans

A dish rich in proteins, good carbohydrates and minerals.

1. Poha- 30 Gm
2. Moong Beans- 20gm
3. Lemon Juice- 2.5ml
4. Lemon Juice- 2.5 ml
5. Onion- 50gm
6. Green Chilli- 1-2
7. Mustard Seeds- 2.5 gm
8. Curry Leaves- 5-6 leaves
9. Turmeric powder- 1 pinch
10. Salt- To taste
11. Coriander leaves – For garnishing


1. Soak the moong beans overnight. Steam with little water till soft.
2. Take a non stick-pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds- when they splutter, add the curry leaves, then add chopped onions, fry till they become translucent. Then add green chilies, cooked beans and salt.
3. In a separate bowl-wash the poha and drain, add some salt, black pepper and lemon juice and mix well.
4. Add turmeric powder to the beans mixture and, then add the poha mixture to the same. Stir for a couple of minutes till it all gets mixed well. Switch of flame.
5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
