Vegetable Poha


1. 100 gms Poha Flattened rice
2. 8-10 Raw peanuts
3. 1 Tsp cumin seeds
4. 2 medium size Onion finely chopped
5. 1 medium size Tomato finely chopped seedless
6. 2 tbsp Green/red /yellow Capsicum finely chopped
7. 2 tbsp Carrot finely chopped
8. 2 tbsp French beans
9. 2 tbsp  Peas
10. 1 Green Chili Chopped
11. 2 tbsp Coriander leaves Chopped
12. 10-15 Curry leaves washed
13. Regular salt to taste
14. 1 tsp Red chili powder
15. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 
16. One tbsp lemon juice
17. 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil


1. Collect all the required ingredients.
2. Take the e poha in a bowl. rinse the poha with cold water drain out excess water immediately and keep it aside for half an hour
3. Heat oil in a pan. add the cumin and allow it to crackle.
4. Add peanuts in the pan and cook it on low flame till the peanut is cooked properly and nice aroma comes from the peanuts.
5. Add onion and cook for another 1-2 minutes on low-medium flame till onions are translucent in the color.
6. Once the onions have softened, add carrot, beans and peas cook for 2-3 minutes on low-medium flame.
7. Further, add capsicum and tomato and cook for another 1 minute.
8. Now, add curry leaves, green chili, salt, red chili powder, turmeric , lemon juice and mix it well with the veggies.
9. Furthermore, lower the flame and add the soft washed flattened rice (chiwda) to the pan and give the poha a gentle stir until all the ingredients come together.

12. Add coriander leaves and mix it. Check the salt and seasonings and adjust to suit your taste and serve.
